We are located 3 1/2 miles west of I-75 on Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers (Exit 143).
You will find our garden center to be a friendly, enjoyable place to stroll through while you look at native and tropical trees and plants, pottery, and many other items for your SW Florida outdoor lifestyle.



History

In the fall of 2000 Jan and myself (Joe) dropped by Bayshore Garden Center because we saw some Cape Honeysuckle plants in bloom out front. We turned into the gravel lot and wandered around looking at plants and speaking to the owners who had been in business for 23 years at this location. What had started out as a hobby for them slowly turned into a business that their daughter ran. As I looked around I noticed a For Sale sign out by the street. I wrote down the realtors information. We made our purchase of a Honeysuckle plant and headed home. We immediately started talking about the possibility of buying the garden center. Jan had an extensive background in horticulture and I had spent several years in my own retail sporting goods store.
After talking about it for a few days, and talking in depth with the owners and the realtor we decided to make an offer. We took over Bayshore Garden Center in December of 2000.
In the past eight years we have done our best to improve our little garden center. Those of you that have watched us evolve to what we are today know the many changes that have been made. We strive to give you the best selection, prices, and service possible. We aren't perfect, but like I said we do our best.



Future Goals

In the past 8 years we have had some wonderful growth. It has been better that we could have hoped for. Everyday we strive to serve our customers with enthusiasm and expertise. Many of our customers we have the privilege of calling our friends. We will keep investing in our garden center to bring you a clean, pleasant, and unique environment for a wonderful shopping experience that is second to none. We will continue to look for and offer to you the most environmentally friendly plants and products. We want to be your "GO GREEN" connection. We will continue to offer you savings in our "Green Thumb Club" with your discounts, and hope to offer even better savings and information to you. We are also working on better signs to keep you even more informed than ever about every plant in our store. We have just brought online the "Ask Jan" forum to better help you with any questions you might have. So keep stopping by our store and our website to see what's new and exciting and thanks for your support.
